The way we made it was exactly like bacon and didn't involve any ingredients, but came out good, we just bought country ham from the store, any grocery store it could be found, and cook it on medium heat until browned or browning on the top and bottom after flipping. The great thing about country ham as opposed to honey or smoked is all the salt acts as a preservative.
